Let's Help Laguna Seca to keep SCRAMP

I have also included the Monterey County Board Of Supervisors contact info for our members to oppose abolishing SCRAMP as the managing non-profit organization that has been operating Laguna Seca since it was built in 1957.

District 1 District 2 District 3

Fernando Armenta John Phillips Simon Salinas

831-755-5011 831-755-5022 832-755-5033

District 4 District 5

Jane Parker Dave Potter

831-755-5044 831-755-5055

Both supervisors Salinas and Potter support replacing the non- profit SCRAMP with the for profit ISC, International Speedway Corporation, a publicly traded corporation, whose primary business is the ownership and management of NASCAR race tracks.

Support to replace SCRAMP cannot be good for race fans, car clubs that have corrals at the track or consumers who buy tickets for events. SCRAMP is responsible for the construction of Mazda Laguna Seca in 1957.

Please urge our members to educate themselves on this significant proposed change to a track that has been very well managed for spectators for over 60 years, at no additional cost to those spectators. Non-profit management vs. a publicly traded for profit corporation.

Please let all of the Monterey County Board of Supervisors know how you feel.
